Review: 1/6 Tomoe Mami Real Action Heroes MGM by Medicom Toy

I guess it was pointless in trying to escape from the jaws of materialistic greed because I ended up buying this pricey figure. Despite my best efforts of self-restraint, I still click the order button like a headless chicken. Oh well, it can't be helped.

Review: Laura Bodewig Maid Ver. by Alter.

It's been just a bit short of a year since I pre-ordered Laura and her sudden release hurt my wallet quite a bit. On the other hand, I guess I technically saved money since the Japanese yen isn't a retarded powerhouse anymore. Oh well, at least she's finally released.

From what I heard, a bunch of Alter's figures were delayed because of some sort of quality issue from sharing a factory with Good Smile Company. Thankfully, Alter is a perfectionist so in the end I still received a figure that looks almost identical to the promo shots.

Review: Hybrid Active Figure Yuki Nagato by Azone

I found an opened box of this doll on Yahoo auctions and won it this time. She cost a bit more than I had expected due to a consumption tax on the auction, customs tax, and an absurdly large shipping box. Seriously, the box had so much empty space that Nagato's box was resting in a diagonal position. Pretty neat.

Review: Yuki Nagato Gekisou Version by Max Factory

I've had my eye on this figure for some time, but I sort of gave up on it because market demanded such a steep price for it. I'm not sure when the price for it dropped, but I'm not complaining. If I had to guess why it dropped, it would probably be because of the Nagato figure that came out recently from Kyoto Animation. I'm not too fond of that particular figure after seeing some reviews of it.

Review: Another Realistic Character Mei Misaki by Azone

I ended up buying Another doll. This one is made by Azone so I'll be comparing it to my Dollfie Dream quite a bit throughout the review.

Review: Dollfie Dream Yuki Nagato by Volks

I finally decided to buy my first large scale doll and I ended up choosing Nagato. This won't be a full review, but more of an image dump with my thoughts about her. I'm also trying out a couple of new setups for taking pictures, so you'll see some duplicate poses in different backgrounds and lighting. Tell me which one looks better since I suck at photography.

Review: Remilia Scarlet by Gathering

I decided to buy one of the pre-painted figures from e2046, meaning this figure is a bootleg. I heard good things about their Gathering product line so I decided to take the risk. When it arrived, I was actually surprised at the quality. If I had to compare it to other companies, it would be something like Alter > GSC > this figure. Unfortunately, the figure itself is very fragile and it came with a broken piece. I have mixed feelings about it since it's only a small piece and I doubt any more padding could of prevented it.
